Dr. Liz Bolton Dr. Liz Bolton is thrilled to return to the Cat Clinic of Greensboro team after a 15 year hiatus! In 2000, Dr. Bolton was an undergraduate English and theater major at UNC-Greensboro when her childhood cat became ill with end stage kidney disease. During his treatment, Liz met many amazing women who were putting their STEM knowledge to work in the veterinary field. Having always excelled at math and science while enjoying communication and the liberal arts, Liz realized that a veterinary career was the perfect way to use all these strengths. Therefore, she joined the Cat Clinic as an assistant to begin her journey as a veterinary professional.Within veterinary medicine, Dr. Bolton has always been most passionate about feline health. Upon graduation from NCSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, Dr. Bolton spent several years in small animal emergency/critical care medicine. In 2010 she left emergency medicine to pursue feline only practice, most recently spending several years leading a cat hospital in western Canada. Dr. Bolton’s interests within feline medicine include internal medicine, geriatrics, and dentistry. She feels a special affinity for the self-defensive (aka “grumpy”) cats and endeavors to work with them to make their veterinary experience as pleasant and feline-friendly as possible. Dr. Bolton’s commitment to highest quality care applies not only to her patients but also to their owners. She is steadfast in her belief that veterinarian and owner must work as a team to provide the happiest and healthiest life possible to the felines entrusted to her care. When not at work, Dr. Bolton can be found reading, watching movies and theater, playing board games, and traveling. She shares her home with rescue cats from geriatric (Raven and Mr. Bananas) to juvenile (Lee and Kara).

Dr. Katy BeachyIn practice since 2000 Dr. Katy Beachy originally began her college education as a theater major dreaming of the stage and bright lights of Broadway. Discovering her cat had FIV after her freshman year changed the course of her life. She went to work in the Veterinary Biosciences Department at Ohio State University the following fall. Dr. Beachy has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2000, working with both cats and dogs. She has a true love for working with cats and we are thrilled to have her as part of our Cat Clinic family. Truly a cat person at heart, she returned home to the Cat Clinic team in February 2014. She has a love of soft tissue surgery and an interest in ultrasound. She has a passion for working with clients and staff to provide the best medicine for their kitties. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her beautiful children (Lexi, Logan, and Lukas) baking, hiking, watching movies, doing art projects, etc. They share their home with five crazy cats: Biscuit, Rosie, Harley, BatCat, and Minion.
