This SureFlap Microchip Cat Door works with your cat’s existing microchip to let your cat in when he comes. Any cat can leave when he pleases, but only your cat can come back in. It’s like giving your cat a key to the house! This cat door opens outward when your cat comes close to it so he can exit, leaving home as he pleases. The microchip cat door is suitable for small and medium cats, and can be installed in windows, walls, or doors.
This clever cat owner had a small dilemma of the dog always eating her cat’s food, so she created a cute cat house. She placed the food into the laundry room, and then created an adorable cat door from scrap wood and decorative trim, so just her cat could get to her food. The door was constructed plywood, small screws, wood glue, and L-brackets to hang it. As a finishing touch, she painted it and added decoration, ending up with a creative, fun, and practical cat door.
Who says cat doors have to be on the floor or on a door? Windows can also give your cats easy access to the outdoors. With a cat door window insert, it is really easy to provide mobility to your cat without having to rip up walls or doors. Window cat door inserts can be installed in minutes and are completely removable with no muss or fuss. All you need to do is open a window, insert the cat door window sash insert and you are done.
Fierce mountain winds? No problem! “Writing this from Loveland Colorado! Want you to know that you have an excellent pet door. We have installed one at our house in town and it does NOT leak outside air. Fact of the matter is that the temperature on the room side is the same as the room be it winter or summer! We have NEVER found it other than perfectly closed and sealed. Our cat has made a game of going in and out. It is installed on the north side of the house which is the coldest side. We are planning on installing a second one at our mountain house on the west side, the side that the winds hit us on from the Big Thompson Canyon. We have absolute confidence in this product for that high wind application. We have hurricane force winds here in the Colorado mountains and have personally experienced over 100 mph winds. The old double flap cat door is not at all adequate and lacks the insulating properties of the Freedom Pass Door. When the wind storms come we stuff foam in the old door but when the new Freedom Pass Door goes in we can forget about having to do that! Freedom for us and freedom for the cat. So if you are considering purchasing this product just do it! It is quality through and through and is built to last and protect your home from heat, cold and wind.” – Maryann from Loveland
This ultra creative cat door has a vintage look which will make your visitors say “wow.” The creator constructed this clever cat “portal” from a mini porthole window and nautical equipment. With a few unique supplies and some handiwork, she was able to create an original cat door that you just don’t see every day. If you’re inspired to make your own, you can create your own DIY porthole cat door by using one of these porthole windows. You just need to cut a hole to the proper size and install the port hole. This is great for indoor passageways.
This adorable cat door was created as an easy access way for cats to reach their litter box. The creator constructed this cat door by first drawing the silhouette on the door, then cutting out the cat shape with a jigsaw. She sprayed some insulation foam into the hollow and then let it dry. Afterwards, she covered the cut edges with paper mache, primed it, and painted it. (If you would like to try this, you can use these amazing cat shaped stencils to help guide you.)

This classy cat door can be found in Valencia, and stands as a work of art in itself. A cute little mansion just for cats, this fancy cat door was created with the care and luxury in mind these cats deserve. The cats even have a small pair of stairs to help them enter into their home. Unfortunately, the original post showing off this cat door is no longer on the web but I am sharing this door image since it is still worthy as a source of inspiration.
