Mike Owen Our herd went ape with the first call .. great for when some break for outside as they’ll come running back. Bad need of a manual as more or less just pressing buttons by guess is all we can do .. the recorder function is another thing that’s incomprehensible. Pepper McChicken My sister got this app. Anytime she has her phone she spams the buttons and every meow makes me want to die. Other then that it’s a pretty solid app for anything other than talking to a cat Jared Horne This app makes playing with a rusty barbed stick fun. I have never wanted to play with my cat by spewing horrible noises at it 1 star thanks losers. Rui Carvalho THIS IS A BRILLIANT APP. to the idiots that can’t make this work: this app was made in Canada so only English and French speaking cats will understand you. Also you must speak with Canadian acent. Other than that works perfect. I told my cat come and sit and he came. Not only that but he pulled a chair before sitting. I only got some doubts when he got a beer from the fridge. Other day I said get the mouse and he started websurfing . Only got upset when he went to see shaved cat ladies. My cat really loves me and understands me . Thanks I was at my friends house and she said “I love you” into the translator, her cat looked at both of us went MROWWW then walked away xD You know what happened after? When we were selecting a meow the derpy cat face popped up and scared the living daylights out of us. I have yet to try it on my own cat since she is just a baby and it might scare her. I really like the app though it’s really cool! !?!?!? I did this to my cat and she growled and ran away! It doesn’t even work, I mean I’m not trying to be a downer but my cat hates me, I can’t even find my cat’s meow, that’s probably why.

Cats often use their tail to communicate. Cats holding the tail vertically generally indicates positive emotions such as happiness or confidence and is often used as a friendly greeting toward human beings or other cats (usually close relatives). A half-raised tail can indicate less pleasure, and unhappiness is indicated with a tail held low. In addition, a cat’s tail may swing from side to side. If this motion is slow and “lazy”, it generally indicates that the cat is in a relaxed state, and is thought to be a way for the cat to search and monitor the surroundings behind it. Cats will twitch the tips of their tails when hunting or when irritated, while larger twitching indicates displeasure. A stalking domestic cat will typically hold its tail low to the ground while in a crouch, and twitch it quickly from side to side. This tail behavior is also seen when a cat has become “irritated” and is nearing the point of biting or scratching. They may also twitch their tails when playing. Sometimes during play, a cat, or more commonly, a kitten, will raise the base of their tail high and stiffen all but the tip into a shape like an upside-down “U”. This signals great excitement, to the point of hyperactivity. This may also be seen when younger cats chase each other, or when they run around by themselves. When greeting their owner, cats often hold their tails straight up with a quivering motion that indicates extreme happiness. A scared or surprised cat may erect the hairs on its tail and back. In addition, it may stand more upright and turn its body sideways to increase its apparent size as a threat. Tailless cats, such as the Manx, which possess only a small stub of a tail, move the stub around as if they possess a full tail.

Yowl Unlike the reasonably happy, searching sound of a meow, the yowl is a longer, more drawn-out moan that denotes, worry, discomfort, territorial concern or mating issues. The yowl is often a cat-to-cat communication; it can mean “I want to mate,” or “I don’t want you coming around my place.” It can also occur when a cat isn’t feeling well, when senses or cognitive functions decline, or when something in her environment (perhaps a new cat on the block) isn’t to her liking. Cats who get relocated to new territories or adopted out to a new home can often yowl out their regret at the lost digs. And some cats will yowl simply out of boredom.

If your cat begins to incessantly yowl, check for signs of illness; a trip to your veterinarian might be in order. If he or she has not yet been altered, see to it as soon as possible, especially if you let your cat outdoors. Be aware of any cats who might be “invading” your cat’s territory; in some cases, strays or feral cats may need to be trapped, neutered, and hopefully adopted out to the right home. Be sure your cat has ample toys and that she gets enough attention from you. Sometimes all it takes to end a case of the yowls is just an extra play session each day.

Snarls and Growls Often accompanying the hiss are random snarls and growls, usually indicative of fear, anger or territorial threat. Unlike those of larger cats, such as tigers and lions, the domestic cat’s snarling and growling are of a higher pitch and can start or end with a yowl. Generally, just leave this cat be, unless she’s in imminent danger from another cat. A snarling or growling cat will have the classic defensive body posture—puffed up fur, arched back, ears back, tail twitching.

My cat understood me. by Not happy!! No! This was so weird. I’ve played cat sounds before, I downloaded this app and spoke softly in the the recoding device. I have 3 cats, and I called out for my babygirl Bebe. She came running in to the room. This is a female cat who is also a little princess, she does not come running into a room when she is called. She ran up on to the bed and started licking me. I spoke into the app again and told her to cuddle with mommy. She nudged her head on my face and laid up at my pillow purring. My cat could definitely understand exactly what I was saying to her.
